Donna Fei

A hand-bound book made of toilet paper. This material dissolves in contact with water. A metaphor for transience, change, and the longing to preserve. The delicate lines and shapes on the paper recall the traces of past emotions, tears and, fleeting moments. An ode to the fragility of the medium that at the same time highlights the sensuality of touching and leafing - an image for the gentle sounds that paper can produce in its texture and movement.

A drawing whose lines bear traces of multiple blades. The horizontals end just before the edge and reverberate in the memory - similar to the striking of a piano key, the sound of which continues to resonate in space as long as one imagines the dispersion of this sound.
