Claudia Hajek
On the shore of a forest lake, paper surfaces take on changes brought about by light and air. They start to vibrate, float, crackle, showing moving reflections of light and shadow.
They respond sensitively to every current, every climate shift, and create a complex interplay with their surroundings.

Biography
Claudia Hajek is a visual artist with a focus on spatial installation. She often uses metal sheets or paper for her large-scale, temporary works. She develops her installations according to its respective location. With precise interventions, she initiates multi-layered interactions.
Claudia Hajek, born in 1967 in Bielefeld, studied at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. Since the early 1990s, she has exhibited her works in exhibitions and at festivals in Italy, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and Switzerland. She has received scholarships and grants from the Kulturwerk der VG Bildkunst and the Brandenburg Ministry of Culture, among others.
