Hildegard Mann

In the 1970s, an exhibition entitled Seeing to Hear" showed that art genres can flow into one another. Can it be possible to bring ears and eyes into harmony - to combine art and science? Your experiment is: to represent white noise, a physical phenomenon artistically. She wants to elicit visual properties from sound with the help of ground paper. Scientists from various disciplines assign "white noise" to universal phenomena."


Hildegard Mann was born in Wolfenbuettel in 1945. In 1966 she completed her studies in Heidelberg and Mainz. Between 2002 and 2011 she completed her sculpture studies. Since 1997 she has numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Her works are in the collection of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the city of Reinfeld and in private collections.
